In a desire
to assist those affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita,
local artists
have offered to commit their time and talents to this fundraising event. The Dallas Jazz Orchestra is
pleased to sponsor this event. There will
be raffle drawings for donated gift certificates to area
restaurants and businesses. All money
collected will be donated directly to the Habitat for
Humanity, designated for gulf coast aid.

listening to Dallas' finest High School Jazz Vocalists - Luke Marantz,
Sydney Price, Nadia Washington - spread the word with the Dallas Jazz
Orchestra at the historic Lakewood Theater! Afterall, it is a FREE
concert and a chance to experience the Dallas Jazz Orchestra with the
future great Jazz vocalists of tomorrow! Spread the word and come on

Victor Cager. Victor is a Sammons Arts Center favorite and now a
featured guest with The Dallas Jazz Orchestra.The engaging Victor Cager

Dan Hollis and Donnie "The Hot Chopper" Gililland with special
arrangements by Curt Bradshaw take you back to the sounds of Memphis
Bealle Street. Songs such as River Stay Away From My Door, When Did You
Leave Heaven and Evil Man Blues are performed by blues pianist/vocalist
Dan Hollis setting up ample solo space for Dan's first choice jazz
guitarist, Donnie Gilliland. Dan and Don have been creating a special
sound for the Dallas audience for over thirty years. The Dallas Jazz
Orchestra is proud to share the stage and accompany two Dallas musical
giants. This concert is a "must attend" concert for every young
aspiring
jazz musician searching to understand the roots of Jazz and the
